Our approach to privacy

SecondSpark Technologies LLC operates DateRecap, a private post-date reflection service designed to help two participants better understand their compatibility and mutual interest.

DateRecap is designed so that each participant completes their reflection privately. Individual responses are not shown to the other participant. Instead, DateRecap uses the responses to generate shared compatibility insights.

Information we collect

When you use DateRecap, we may collect information you provide directly, including participant names, responses to reflection questions, optional written responses if offered, and information necessary to create and manage a private reflection session.

We may also process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the service.

How reflection responses are used

Reflection responses are used to generate the shared DateRecap results for the participants in that session. DateRecap is designed to share conclusions and compatibility patterns rather than reveal one participant's individual answers to the other.

Private session links

DateRecap uses private links to connect participants with a reflection session. Anyone who obtains a valid private link may be able to access the portion of the session associated with that link. You should not post or share a private DateRecap link publicly.

Data retention

DateRecap reflection session data is scheduled for deletion approximately 30 days after the session is created. Certain limited records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or resolving disputes.

Service providers

We may use service providers to host and operate DateRecap, process and store data, provide infrastructure, and protect the service. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to us.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information handled by DateRecap. However, no online service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

Children

DateRecap is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as DateRecap develops. When we make changes, we may update the effective date shown above.
